- Early ASP Women’s Tour leader Carissa Moore (HAW) lost Heat 3 by the narrowest of margins as fellow Hawaiian Pauline Ado defeated her by 14.60pts to 14.44pts. “A heat against Carissa is always a tough one, so I’m really stoked to win,” commented Ado. Moore now goes into the knockout Round 2, while Ado proceeds directly to Round 3.
Julian Wilson claimed his first ever ASP World Championship Tour victory with a stunning win in the final heat of the Rip Curl Pro Portugal.
