    The champion of the last two seasons hardly put a foot wrong last year. Apart from a disqualification from Zandvoort early in the season for turning up late at the weighbridge check, it was nine points finishes out of the other nine races, including wins at Oschersleben and the Circuit de Catalunya, and four second places. This year marks the 11th year in DTM for the experienced German.
