- Nasser Al-Attiyah claimed a magnificent first victory at the Dakar Rally ahead of VW team-mates (and the winners from 2009 and 2010) Giniel De Villiers and Carlos Sainz. ‘It means a lot to win a Dakar, for me, for my people, for my country and for my team. It is a great victory,’ says the Qatari. ‘It is also the biggest moment in my career. I think that people will finally know where Qatar is!’
