IN IT TO WIN IT
Adam Jones didn’t get his first bike until he was 10 years-old. It wasn’t the best bike out there, but Adam was on it every day and after seeing their son excel so quickly his parents went and bought him a proper bike so Adam could start racing. During his seven years on the race scene, Adam rarely competed in an event where he didn’t make the podium. After an injury forced him to take a year off the track, he realized he was taking racing so seriously that he wasn’t enjoying his time on the bike, so decided to more fun with it after his rehab.
He soon began riding and jumping with friends for fun. However, it was only after taking a real break from the race scene that Jones decided to try his hand on the IFMA Freestyle Motocross Circuit. The breakthrough moment came at an IFMA X Games qualifier event: Adam took the last qualifying position and realized that, all of a sudden, he had taken the first step towards his dream of winning an X-Games gold medal.
Today, Adam Jones is one of the top FMX riders in the world. He not only accomplished his goal of winning an X-Games gold medal in 2007, but is consistently finishes in the top three of almost every event he competes in. Adam was named International Rider of the Year 2007 as well as receiving the prestigious Transworld Motocross Rider of the Year award the same year. In 2008, he was able to accomplish yet another goal by becoming the 2008 AST Overall Tour Champion.
Everyone who knows Adam expects him to burst onto the 2011 Red Bull X-Fighters World Tour after his 1st place in Egypt and 2nd place in Rome on the 2010 Tour. Make no mistake: Adam Jones is in it to win it.
