About Andrea
Andrea started his motorbiking career at the age of 16. Come 2004, at the age of 18, he was 125cc European Champion. He dominated the whole season, taking five victories and six more podium finishes. A year later he moved into the 250cc class, and was awarded ‘Rookie of the year’.
In both 2006 and 2007 he finished second overall and was ready to move up another gear. In his debut in the MotoGP class, Andrea finished fourth.
He has been one of the best, most consistent Honda drivers, regularly finishing in the top 10. In July 2009, he won his first MotoGP race on the British leg of the season at Donington Park.
