About Arnon
Spending years as one of the top ten world-wide extreme wind surfers has turned Arnon Dagan into one of the most experienced and proficient Israeli wind surfing athletes.
Arnon has had a place in the Red Bull team ever since 2000. In the course of his career he had won the most respected world wide titles and achievements. He is crowned with championships, cups and many exciting moments. Arnon had the chance to surf his board at 80 KM/h, although his main expertise is slalom waves (jump surfing), and Formula. As a child he was a natural athlete, devoting his time to football, basketball, tennis, and other sports.
When he was 14 his brother brought home a windsurf board, and his heart was taken immediately. “It requires many skills, handling the equipment and facing nature – the waves. It’s something you can never get enough of. Beside that, wind surfing is terribly addictive, more than any other sport!” says Arnon.
One of the most joyous and thrilling moments of his life was his winning third place at the world championship in Poland, and taking his place on the victory podium in front of a crowd of 6,000, the Israeli flag waving as a sign of respect.
Besides being one of the leading global names in the wind surfing sport, he is an active musician, and has lately began publishing his work – recording three rock singles as well as filming video shorts of surfing antics.
