About Boaz Arrow
Skateboarding for Boaz Arrow Aquino is much more than a sport – it’s a way of life. For the US-born afficionado who has lived in Israel for most of his life, leading the urban skating scene has been his focus since the age of 13.
As well as winning national championships, Boaz has made a big impact on the international scene in places such as Turkey, Cyprus, Italy, France and Finland. And when he's not defying gravity with his freestyle moves, he can be found taking awesome photos and editing skateboard videos.
At the age of six Boaz found his calling and by the time he was in his teens, he was considered a pro. Regarded as a leader of the street scene, Boaz makes light work of the most complex obstacles and relishes the technical challenges his sport offers.
His skating achievements span the past decade with titles collected around Europe, including a first place in the Red Bull Street Bogs contest. He also placed second in the Heffe of Helsinki event and the Mini Ramp contest at the Israeli championships in 2008. Most recently Boaz took part in the Pannonian Challenge XI, taking second place and pulling off the longest ollie of the whole competition.
Boaz now has his sights set on the very skate-friendly architecture in China. "China is currently in its peak of urban development. There’s a wave of square construction over there right now, with a lot of marble, which is a strong, skate-able material. In short, every skater’s dream!” he says.
