UCI Mountain Bike World Cup 2012

Canadian mountain biker Brandon Semenuk was born and raised in the action sports capital of Whistler, BC.  Currently world number one in the Freeride World Tour, he started out following in the footsteps of his older brother.

The talented young rider first excelled in cross-country racing at the age of six before moving to four-cross. When he hit his teens, he switched to freestyle – a calling which has since seen him rise to the top of the ranks.

Brandon’s tricks on two wheels have earned him big respect among the freestyle fraternity with his effortless style and big air marking him out as something of a slopestyle genius. Among Brandon’s favourite moves are the 360 and Slippery Salmon but the dedicated rider is just as much at ease doing downhill.

2010 saw Brandon finish second overall in the Mountain Bike Freeride Tour – an impressive result to add to a trio of wins at various contests throughout the year, including a top podium at Crankworx Colorado for the third year running.
