Aussie Gold Kid

Cam Sinclair has been riding motorcycles since way back in the day. After multiple successes in MX races during his youth, earning himself a reputation as one of Australia’s future racing stars in the process, Sinclair turned discovered his love of flying and turned his attention to the world of FMX. He has never looked back since.

Cam’s breakthrough came when invited to ride on the Crusty Tour, the biggest FMX series in his native Australia, which raised his profile within the scene and gave him the chance to perform throughout Australia as well as in the UK, India and New Zealand.

In 2009, Sinclair was invited to ride the Red Bull X-Fighters World Tour for the first time – and immediately made a huge impact. He became the first ever rider to land a Double Backflip in a freestyle competition when he performed the trick at the third stop of the 2009 World Tour in Fort Worth (USA). However, just a few weeks later the same trick went horribly wrong: Sinclair under-rotated a Double Backflip in Madrid (ESP) and crashed heavily, rupturing his liver and fracturing several bones.

Despite initial fears for his health, Sinclair has shown true Aussie grit by recovering quickly from the serious injuries caused by the fall in order to be back to ride the Red Bull X-Fighters World Tour 2010 and a winning Gold Metal at X-Games 16 for his Double Flip.

The last stop of the 2010 season in Rome did not go down as planned as Sinclair had to pull out of the competition after a fairly easy crash during a practise Double Flip. In case Sinclair survives the Nitro Circus shows in Down Under he should be all dialed in for another Double Flip season in 2011.
