Daniel's Details
About Daniel
He went on to defend his AST title in 2007 and 2008, adding successive X Games gold medals for good measure. That success couldn’t be in sharper contrast to a low-key start to the sport: Danny only took up BMX because his friends got bikes. His attitude changed when his parents moved to Buenos Aires, Argentina, when he was 16. It gave him the chance to develop his skills against a wider circle of riders and – more importantly – a bigger and better park. In 2004, Danny was invited to Woodward’s Camp ramp Mecca in Pennsylvania hasn’t looked back since, leaving his rivals vying for second place.
In 2010, eager to reclaim the Dew Cup title, Danny unleashed a combination of no-handed 360s and 720s, multiple tailwhip variations and a banger barspin to can-can 720 to defeat Brett Banasiewicz at the Portland, Oregan stop of the tour before cleaning up in the final two rounds. As a four-time winner of the Dew Cup, Danny took back the title in 2010.
