About Daniel
Serrinha, as he’s commonly known in Brazil, is a racing driver in the Stock Car series. The Stock Car Light runner-up in 2006, Daniel stunned the establishment by setting the pole position and finishing on the podium in his debut with Red Bull Racing, at Interlagos in ’07.
In ’08, the São Paulo native kept showing flashes of speed whenever his equipment allowed – something he hopes will be the rule rather than the exception in the future. “The Stock Car series gathers the very best names in Brazilian racing, and I’m sure we have every chance of fighting them on equal footing,” he affirms.
A big triathlon fan, Serrinha is considered one of the physically fittest drivers in the country. And it’s the discipline he uses to complete half-Ironman competitions – 1.9km of swimming, 90km of cycling and 21km of running – that Red Bull Racing expects will bring the driver his first Stock Car victory.
