About Denise
Denise de Haan started wakeboarding at age 12. At that time, she also played soccer on a high level, but decided to gave up on that and focus on wakeboarding.
Now, at age 22, her priorities are changing. 8 Years ago she planned her way to a World title and now it's time to plan out the next 8 years of my life. After 2 serious knee injuries, she realized there's more than professional wakeboarding. Especially AFTER professional wakeboarding.
“I believe that being a professional athlete prepares you for the ‘real world'. You learn how to overcome disappointments, deal with pressure, plan and improvise. Wakeboarding isn't only my passion. It's also the best teacher I have. This all doesn't mean I'm done wakeboarding on a professional base. I'll still fight for the highest ranking for another few years!”
