About Dimi

null

Dimi started snowboarding at the age of 11 near his house in The Hague, Holland. In 2006, Dimi came first at the Snow Angel by SL in Italy - a sign of things to come for the young Dutch rider.

That title win led to him joining the TTR snowboard tour, which in turn allowed him to compete in many of the major and most prestigious competitions in the world at the age of just 13.

He competes with the Dutch national team, travelling the world to train and compete. His work on the pipe is improving all the time as he continues to take on bigger and more impressive tricks. His hard work began to pay off as he came third in the Halfpipe in the rookie section at the Burton European Open in Laax, Switzerland.

This pre-season he says he's improved a lot in the pipe, learnt new tricks such as frontside 1080’s and backside 900’s and he even managed to land a frontside 1260 on the kicker (but that was only one time so that doesn’t count, he says).

This season you can see Dimi at the O’Neill Evolution, the Burton European Open, the World Rookie Fest, Dutch Championships and the Air & Style Quarterpipe event.
