Elisabeth Osl, born 1985, in Kitzbühel, Austria, is definitely one of the most impressive woman mountain bike riders in the Alps, and one of the youngest, too. It was in 1998 when her older sister Maria (also a successful mountain bike world cup racer) registered ‘little Lisi’ for her first contest without her approval: Lisi just loved it.

“No pain, no gain, my friends – you’ve got to work hard to achieve your goals,” she explains. And even though her petite body constantly suffers bruises, cuts and scratches from heavy crashes, tree branches or nasty dirt and mud encounters, Osl still calls her sport “the ultimate fun”.
