Gavin started skating when he was nine when his brother got him hs first skateboard and hasn’t stopped since. What he enjoys most about skating is the feeling of relief he gets when he lands a trick. He must have been quite relieved at the South African qualifiers because he landed a ton of tricks. “The contest has been good. It’s been great getting together with other skaters so thanks so Red Bull for giving us this opportunity, “ says Gavin. “The level of skating this year at Manny Mania has blown up, it’s been so good. I’m stoked to win, it was fun and now I’m tired.” This will be his 2nd time to America, first time to NYC.
