About Jon
Jon Olsson is widely regarded as one of the best freestyle skiers in the world. He holds ten Winter X Games medals and for the past three years has run his own tournaments; the Jon Olsson Invitational and the Jon Olsson Super Sessions.
As well as the X Games, he also holds medals from the US Freeskiing Open, six titles from the Rip Curl tour and finished champion of Red Bull Big Air 2003. One of his greatest accomplishments, however, is the invention of several new double flips, including the DJ flip, the Hexo flip and his most famous, the Kangaroo flip (a double flatspin 900), which he pulled to win gold in the Big Air at the X Games 2008.
Switching to alpine skiing competitions in 2008, Olsson is now setting his sights on qualifying for the Olympic Games in Sochi in 2014. A win at the Nor-Am Cup was a definite step in the right direction for the Lamborghini-loving Swede.
