About Markus
Mountain runner Markus Kröll was born on March 17, 1972, in Burgenland, Austria's flattest province. But he grew up in Zillertal, Tyrol, on a mountainside restaurant and picked up long-distance running at 16.
Kröll has won the Red Bull Dolomitenmann seven times with various teams and is one of the overall top five mountain runners of the world. He is close friends with six-time world champion Jonathan Wyatt from New Zealand.
Markus is a professional painter and designer who shares a birthday with his daughter Elena (*2003), his ”greatest accomplishment“.
