About PK
Norwegian freestyle skier PK Hunder, 21, is eager to return to form after breaking his neck in 2009, just as he was starting to challenge megastars like Jon Olsson and Tanner Hall with impressive tricks on the snow.
PK, short for Per Kristian, grew up on a farm next door to the 1994 Olympics ski resort Hafjell, near Lillehammer so skiing was the natural thing to do from a young age. He entered his first competitions at 14, immediately impressing judges as the wonder kid who could spin like no other. His first international breakthrough came with victory in the Jon Olsson Invitational (JOI) in 2007, which later he followed up with an impressive second place in the US Open.2008/2009 started well for the spinning kid with victory in London Freeze and a second place in Freestyle.CH, before he beat both Simon Dumont and Jon Olsson in the King of Style contest, finishing off with an impressive 1260 double cork. He ruled Sweet Rumble in Trysil, and after 3 competitions in the US Dew Tour, he was named as the winner. Hunder's team also won JOSS awards in Åre in April before he fell and broke his neck.
Looking strong again on his skis for the 2010 season, Hunder managed a fourth place in the Freestyle.CH event and promises to build on his already impressive achievements in the near future.
