Presently the only Red Bull Athlete in the English Speaking Caribbean, Collin Daley Jr. is poised for great accomplishments in Go Karting. He has exemplified skill and raw talent in the sport both locally and in internationally.
CJ, as he is known to supporters and close friends, is coached by his mentor Peter Moodie Sr and has already taken 7 first place championship trophies in his four year driving career.
Driving a 2009 Birel C28CJ, CJ has been recently promoted into the Rotax Junior Class, which is usually for drivers upwards of 13 years. However, after dominating in every class on the local and international go karting stage, officials within the sport granted CJ’s application of a waiver to move him into the higher driving class.
Even though CJ is one of the most relaxed and easy going kids and a high achieving student, his focus and determination on the track is virtually unmatched. Within the karting world, CJ is known as one of the most promising athletes. ‘All eyes on the kid’, is what journalists within the scene are saying.
Sebastian Vettel remains his hero and once mentioned, CJ’s eyes light up as he hopes one day to sit in the same drivers seat as Vettel…… soon come! (as is said in Jamaican colloquialism).
