About Shinji

For his first few years as a professional, Shinji Osada was best known for out-jumping the landing area at the 2007 Jon Olsen Invitational. But, the Japanese skier’s big break came in 2009 when he won the big-air at the World Skiing Invitational in Whistler, Canada. Osada dominated the ramp all night to pick up his first major win in the western hemisphere. It was an emotional win for Osada - he had tears of joy streaming down his face as he was announced the winner. Testament to Osada’s talent is the 24 sponsors he has attracted, allowing him to compete across the globe – and it’s something he is sure to continue to do with great success.
