The second European Trophy took place in August 2011 and was even better than the inaugural event the previous year.

Which means there will be more participants than last year and that the final tournament, which continues to be staged under the name Red Bulls Salute, has been moved to December – the peak time for ice hockey – and for the first time will be played out at both the host club's venue, the Salzburg Eisarena, and in Vienna.

The European Trophy and Red Bulls Salute (December 16-18, 2011) games therefore promise to deliver ice hockey of the very highest calibre - a treat for fans from both home and abroad!
