- In one of his most daring wingsuit flights to date, Russian B.A.S.E. jumper Valery Rozov flew 4,000m above the Tartar Strait, a stretch of water which separates the Russian mainland from Sakhalin Island in the far east of the country. After about two minutes of flight in freefall, Valery crossed the narrowest part of the strait thousands of metres above the sea before releasing his parachute and landing safely in the project named Red Bull Tartary 2012.
