- Under the ferocious tropical sun on the equinox day in Macapa, Brazil the first ever Red Bull Latitude Zero Beachvolleyball competition was held on the Equator. This unprecedented challenge brought together teams from the Northern and Southern hemispheres including Germany's Julius Brink and Jonas Reckermann from the North and from the South, Brazilians Alison Cerutti, Maria Clara and Carolina Salgado.
