At this year’s free Tramlines Festivall Red Bull Studios Live enlisted the help of steel city native Toddla T to programme the stage. 1,500 revellers descended on the outdoors daytime event at the Sheffield University concourse. The stage was heaving with ravers all wanting to get an earful of the studios Funktion-One’s pumping a banging tune selection from garage master Oneman, Hyperdub’s T Williams, PMR fam Julio Bashmore and L-Vis 1990.

At sundown the stage was transported to The Octagon for a night of smoke, visuals and live performances from Toddla T and his ‘Sound live show featuring MCs Serocee, DRC and the wonderful Shola Ama. Toddla and friends performed a live rendition of ‘Alive’ and a stunning version of Shola’s legendary neo-soul track ‘You Might Need Somebody.’
