As part of the Red Bull Signature Series, Red Bull Cold Rush airs this Saturday, March 24 on NBC at 1:00 p.m. ET/10:00 a.m. PT. Hosted by Sal Masekela, a definitive voice in action sports and entertainment, the invitation-only event comes to stunning Silverton Mountain in Colorado, North America's highest and steepest ski area. Only accessible via helicopter or hiking, the high-alpine bowls, chutes and cliffs are home to the one-of-a-kind competition. The peer-judged event determines the best all-around backcountry skier.

While watching the show, fans are also able to vote at the Red Bull Cold Rush site for the athlete who laid down the sickest lines, threw the most bad-ass tricks and stomped the biggest landings during the competition. The winner of the People’s Choice Award will win an additional $1,000. Voting is open through March 26 when the winner will be announced on the website.

The epitome of backcountry freestyle progression, Red Bull Cold Rush consists of three different disciplines: Slopestyle, Big Mountain, and Cliffs. The male and female competitor who best earns the respect of their fellow skiers at the conclusion of the event will be awarded the top spots.

Hosting the action will be one of the world’s foremost big-mountain playgrounds, Silverton Mountain, North America’s highest and steepest ski area at 13,487-feet. Situated in the remote southwestern corner of Colorado, Silverton has 1,800 acres of bowls, chutes, and cliffs all served up au naturel without a groomer in sight. Red Bull Cold Rush features immense peaks and drool-worthy lines that force athletes to be creative and push the limits of the sport.

Lake Tahoe hosts this head-to-head race where skiers compete four at a time down a wide-open course over natural terrain and snow conditions. This is the ultimate test of skiing and riding skills.

Red Bull Supernatural (March 31 at 10:00 a.m. PT/1:00 p.m. ET on NBC): The brainchild of snowboarding icon Travis Rice, the event is a first-of-its-kind backcountry competition designed to showcase the skills of the best all-around riders on the planet. Over 100 man-made features have been built on the slope over summer, so that once snow falls, a series of tree-line features, jumps and drops will emerge creating the ultimate backcountry run.
