For the past two years, Ryan Sheckler has invited some of his friends in the skating world to the Etnies Skatepark in Lake Forest, California, which is about 20 miles south of Los Angeles, for a friendly contest to raise money for the Sheckler Foundation, which supports various causes.
This year's Skate for a Cause -- happening tomorrow, May 5 -- will help support the A.skate Foundation, an amazing nonprofit that provides one-on-one skate lessons for children with autism.
Among those expected to skate tomorrow are Joey Brezinski, PJ Ladd, Neal Hendrix, Steve Olson and Dave Hackett.
The best part about the whole deal? It's free. That's right. You get to watch the best in the world skate for free. And if you donate $50 you get a sweet VIP pass that allows you to mingle with the athletes and touch the sweat on Ryan's forearm (probably).
It all goes down tomorrow from 10 am - 5 pm. The best-trick contest begins at noon. Red Bull will definitely be on the grounds to support Ryan, so we hope to see you there. (And if you can't make it, tune in next week for an event recap.)
