Race to the River: Red Bull Crashed Ice Returns to Fire Up Canadian Ice in Québec
Following the incredible success of the event in 2009, Red Bull Crashed Ice returns to Québec City for another session of insane downhill ice-skating - this year as the eastern hemisphere leg of the Red Bull Crashed Ice World Championship. The one-of-a-kind 550-metre (56 vertical metres!) urban ice track will wind and dive its way through the city’s stunning landscape. However, there will be no time for the competitors to stop and check out the scenery as they race head-to-head to the finish line, fighting for the world champion title. With an average width of less than five metres, the Red Bull Crashed Ice course contains an incredible 8,000 square metres of ice! The race will start under the imposing gaze of the luxurious Château Frontenac and conclude next to the icy currents of the Saint Lawrence River. Dig out your protective gear and sharpen your blades, Red Bull Crashed Ice is back again!
