Bio

Björn Dunkerbeck has had an illustrious career dating back to 1986, when he hit the professional circuit at the tender age of 17. These days Björn has achieved legendary status and is revered worldwide by young professional windsurfers for feats such as multiple championship titles and breaking the world speed sailing record a total of seven times - the Nautical Mile speed record four times and the 500m Open Ocean speed record twice, as well as the 250m speed record.

The half-Danish half-Dutch windsurfing phenomenon's résumé is simply astonishing - to date, Björn has notched up 105 Professional Windsurfing Association (PWA) titles, seven PWA Wave World Championship crowns and 12 PWA overall World Championships.

Björn has stood out as a legend among his peers because of the raw talent, determination and pure passion for his sport. He says: "I’ve been working at this sport all my life. If I go without windsurfing for more than one day I get itchy and can’t wait to get out there."
