Martin Söderström's famed skills on two wheels were first broadcast on YouTube back in 2007, after he won the Åre Slopestyle competition in Sweden. Since becoming a screen sensation, hundreds of thousands around the world have seen his amazing riding, not only showcasing his great slopestyle performances, but also his impressive street riding skills.
The following year saw Söderström take his career to the next level as he made his international breakthrough with top positions in slopestyle contests around Europe. The talent from Sweden racked up five podium positions, including a third place at the most prestigious competition of them all – Crankworx Whistler.
The 2013 season started off well, with Söderström winning Slopestyle gold at the FMB WT Colorado Freeride Festival, and winning Speed&Style at Crankworx. However, soon after Söderström suffered a serious crash attempting a 360 double tailwhip at Red Bull Joyride. He broke both his fibula and tibia and spent the rest of the season in rehabilitation. "It's really hard when you come back from a big injury," he says, "But if the body feels good then I will do everything I can to be back up there!"
And back up there he's got. Despite taking his comeback 2014 season easy, he still managed to bag podiums at the likes of the Colorado Freeride Festival and the FISE WORLD Montpellier.
He carried on winning in 2015 too and is now back to his best, and ready to fight for wins where ever he goes.Read more
