Hi, my name is Kenny Belaey. My discipline is trial biking. My friends call me The Magician. I was born on 26 January 1983 in Eeklo, Belgium. My special talent is keeping cool and focused on the win. My philosophy of life is aim to win. The most important person in my life is my girlfriend. My favourite food is Italian. My favourite music is rock and metal.

Give Kenny a trial bike and he will deliver: since his first junior outing in 1992, at the age of nine, ‘the Magician’ has produced an awesome list of achievements: two Cadet World Championships, two Junior World Championships, a Junior European Championship, multiple Elite World Championships, over a handful of Elite World Cups, and several Elite European Championship titles.

Kenny counts Travis Pastrana and Stefan Everts as influences on his career, and when not competing, he still likes the thrill of two wheels, taking off cross-country on the mountain bike and riding his Moto X trailbike.

But more than anyone, Kenny is pushing to help to develop his sport by reaching a more mainstream audience. Early in 2009, Kenny set off on a five-week global trek, crossing from Spain to England, Cleveland, California and Hawaii in the US. His encounters with biking legends, places and influential athletes within the sport were aired on the Extreme Sports Channel.

In 2011, Kenny was again featured on the Extreme Sports Channel with his own Kenny Belaey's Bigtime Trials Adventure, showcasing his adventures whilst on a road trip through South Africa. He also featured in a global adidas commercial alongside sports legends Messi and Beckham.

But despite his small screen success, his focus remains on the tracks and trails, as he continues to compete with the elite at the likes of the UCI Trials World Championships and the UEC European Trials Championships.

Since June 2014, Kenny has also become an ambassador for the prestigious Laureus foundation, a charity based platform spreading the message 'Sport for Good', which once a year organises the Oscars of the Sport, The Laureus awards. Kenny says “Sport has given me so much in my life, I can not wait to transfer this message and work closely with Laureus. It's an honour to be an ambassador for them!”.
