Thomas Genon, who hails from southern Belgium, is fast climbing the rankings in MTB slopestyle. After promising results in 2010 and 2011, it all came together in a great FMB World Tour 2012 season!
Claiming victory in the Red Bull Joyride at Crankworx was the real highlight of this 'unknown' teenager's career to date. "I was fixing my music at the top of the run and someone came over to tell me that I won the comp," said Genon about the surprise victory. He also took an impressive win at 26TRIX that same year, and went on to finish third in the general classification for the FMB World Tour 2012. Since then, he has taken podium finishes at the Vienna Air King, Red Bull Rampage and the King of Dirt.
In 2014, Genon took the win at Hall of Dirt, along with slopestyle victories at both the FISE WORLD Andorra and the FISE WORLD Montpellier. He also claimed second place at Crankworx Les 2 Alpes.
2015 was also filled with podiums, racking up third places at both Crankworx Les 2 Alpes and Red Bull Joyride, as well as taking the win at Swatch Rocket Air Slopestyle.
Genon's consistent top finishes are a true testament to his unrivalled skill atop the saddle. Being one of the youngest athletes on the tour, such victories proves his great potential to climb even more top steps at slopestyle events in the future.Read more
