Addison Zawada's been training his way to the top of the cycling world since the age of 10 and has become a breakaway rider, having participated and dominated in BMX, mountain biking and road biking, but he’s found his true calling in fixed gear cycling.
“I have a true passion and love for riding bikes,” Addison says. “I commute around town on my bike and I ride so many different disciplines of cycling. I just love all aspects of riding.”
He's taken titles in NACCC competitions, as well as at the Makassar Fixed Gear Championship and the Florida Cross Country Mountain Bike Series. In 2011, he broke onto the fixed gear scene by nearly sweeping the Red Bull Mini Drome series, amassing a handful of victories across the US and Canada. He went on to win the esteemed Red Bull Ride + Style event in 2012 and 2014. “It is a total body workout and it takes every ounce of energy out of you. It makes you dizzy, but it is always an adrenaline rush,” he says.
He’s continued his winning form with a further Red Bull Mini Drome title in New York in 2015 plus victories in Vienna at Red Bull Fuxjagd 2016 and in San Francisco at Mission Crit 2016.Read more
