Bert Ribul is an Estonian Flatlander who is considered one of the best stunt riders in his country. He discovered Flatland by chance when some local Tallinn guys were pulling off tricks and jumps in a car park. As soon as he saw what could be achieved on a BMX, he knew Flatland was his calling and was determined to make it to the top of the sport.
A couple of years later, after non-stop practice and trading in his 16-inch girls' bike with welded pegs for a proper ride, Bert was grabbing every opportunity to develop his skills. “The goal is to continually develop your rider and think of new tricks,” he says. “Hopefully my riding is becoming individual and distinct.”
