Leogang in Austria is, without a doubt, one of the most picturesque settings that the European bike scene has ever witnessed. Every year, at the end of May, the Out of Bounds Festival takes place there, and one of its highlights, which interests us the most, is 26TRIX dirt contest. Even if you're not a dirt-jumping fan, you might be interested in visiting Leogang to watch the iXS European Downhill Cup.

26TRIX is one of the most prestigious dirt contests in the world. It's an FMB World Tour Gold Event, so riders can achieve plenty of points to boost their ranking and also some money for incidental expenses from the total prize pool of 15,000 Euro.

The course has remained almost the same for many years, yet it's still a challenge for many. The whole track is hard as concrete, from which it’s built, plus there are lots of small pebbles, so the riders have to be very careful because crashes might be painful. The two main things about the course are the two main jumps, which are one of the biggest you will find worldwide. The last jump is covered with mulch, which makes pulling the craziest tricks a lot easier (or a lot less risky at least).

Apart from 20 invited riders from all over the world, 40 newcomers will fight for their place in the contest during Thursday's pre-qualifications. Everyone will try to pull the best run of their life to have a chance of riding with world’s top riders, so just that alone might be as much entertaining as the Saturday's finals.

The riders’ list is, just as always, full of international stars. Last year's winner – Brandon Semenuk is a potential winner wherever he goes. After pretty unfortunate runs at Red Bull Berg Line, where he didn't even get to finals, Martin Söderström will try to dominate the contest this time. Anthony Messere is not a stranger to the big jumps - this Canadian kid keeps progressing so fast, that we can expect new things from him every time. Two of UK's finest – Sam Pilgrim and Sam Reynolds have been on podium of every dirt contest for some time now, so you could be sure to see a lot of big tricks from them as well. Some of the other big names are: Cameron McCaul, Szymon Godziek and Lance McDermott.

Last but not least, the attraction that waits every visitor to Leogang, both riders and spectators, is the official Override Afterparty. Everyone, who has ever been there, will confirm that it is one of the best parties ever.
