We go behind the scenes of Justice's new pop video, which features MTB freerider Yannick Granieri
Yannick Granieri is one of mountain biking's most fearless freeriders and his fellow Frenchmen Justice have found another use for his stern-faced daredevilry – a starring role in the video for their single, New Lands.
The video, which was directed by Spanish collective Canada and made with the help and support of Red Bull, is a dark vision of the future in which sporting entertainment is provided by ultra-violent American Football players and biking gladiators.
The directors and the band discuss some of these dystopian themes, inspired by films such as Rollerball and Any Given Sunday and computer games such as Speedball 2, in this fascinating behind-the-scenes film.
Red Bull-backed mountain biker Yannick Granieri is certainly enthusiastic about his own role in the film, which sees him swapping pedar power for a full-throttle motorbike.
Yannick's real-world competitors will just be hoping that he hasn't pickd up any performance-enhancing techniques from the video's choreographers.
