Canada’s Brandon Semenuk continued his domination of this year’s FMB World Tour circuit on Saturday by winning the Claymore Challenge at the Highland Mountain Bike Park in New Hampshire.
This was his fourth successive win on the FMB World Tour.
Brandon’s first run on the Highland course was good enough for the win after his 17 fellow competitors failed to nudge him from first position following their second runs. His score of 92.67 was never bettered.
The first run of Brandon's included a double dump 720 off a smaller ramp on the course and flip-whip on the Red Bull Freebird.
Brandon made sure he attacked the course throughout with his riding and was able to pull off precision high grade tricks time after time.
The assembled high quality field produced a competition of exceptional standards with the places behind Brandon changing several times on the second run as the riders threw down one impressive run after the other.
Indeed the crowd and those watching on RedBull.com/bike witnessed some tricks never attempted in competition before from the likes of Brett Rheeder and Martin Söderström on their second runs. These two finished second and third respectively after improving their scores on the second run.
Sam Pilgirm who had been second after the first run was pushed down to fourth after only marginally improving on his first run score.
