Ryszard Syryczyński is back to give us the lowdown on Rebel Jam and it's hot new location

The last Rebel Jam was held in chilly Eindhoven, but not this time! While almost everywhere in Europe the weather is getting worse and worse as winter approaches, there is still a place where you can still get some sun… In lovely Spain!

The Eurocamp resort is the place for the 6th edition of one of the most anticipated BMX contest in Europe, Rebel Jam. The organizers are calling it a “BMX fiesta” which is a clue to the fact that it's not just about riding, it’s also about chilling and hanging out with your friends. The Tossa De Mar tourist resort, situated inside of a beautiful bay, is the best place to do that. With a great beach, swimming pools, tennis courts and lots of other activities waiting for everyone staying at the local camping site or in the hotel, there is everything you might need. Also, the whole place is run by one of the world's best ramp builders, Axel Jürgens, so that should be enough of an assurance of the quality of riding.

This year's Rebel Jam will play host to almost every kind of BMX riding. There will be four different pro contests, Skatepark, Street, Dirt and Flatland. What makes this event very special is its format. Usually in a contest like this, there is just a regular podium for the top three riders. Rebel Jam is a place where every type of riding has its own place, riders are judged in three categories, Hard Trick, Style and Creativity and each category has ten places.

Who's coming to Rebel Jam this year? The UK BMX scene is one of the best when it comes to the hardest tricks and progression and we'll have the opportunity to watch three best purveyors of that, Mark Webb, Harry Main and Alex Coleborn.

The Czech Republic's Michael Beran amazed us all with his recent ‘Berry Routines’ video and he will do the same here with his runs. One of the most popular newschoool riders, Kevin Peraza, is mixing big tricks and amazing style and he’ll be riding at Rebel Jam. California's kid Daniel Sandoval had the best trick in 2011, pulling first ever 720 tailwhip to barspin. Will he make the crowd roar once again?

Some other interesting riders to watch will be Italy’s Alessandro Barbero and Germany's tech trick machine Tobias Wicke, who got 2nd place last year for his creativity.

Although many of the guys, who will compete in the skatepark category are probably going to have a go at the dirt jumps as well, there are some specific names worth mentioning. Two, very well-known riders from USA are Gary Young and Rob Darden. There is also Matt Priest and Ben Hennon from UK and Poland’s Dawid Godziek.

The Street section also has a strong representation. Top names already confirmed are – Dakota Roche from USA, Germany's Bruno Hoffman, UK's Dan Lacey, Vasya Lukyanenko from The Ukraine and the Latvian Eddie Zunda.

Flatland part was added last year and due to the constant growth of numbers of its fans and it's staying with us for another year. You'll have a chance to watch magic performed by the World Champion Matthias Dandois, winner of Red Bull Circle of Balance Viki Gomez, Dominik Nekolny and many more.

With regards to schedule Friday is for open practice and the Foto Art Expo. There are 4 different disciplines, qualifications and finals are split between Saturday and Sunday.

If you can, come to Eurocamp for one of the best weekends of the year, but if not, head to www.RebelJam.com and watch the live stream from the ‘BMX fiesta’!
