Fresh from his victory at Red Bull Descenso del Cóndor in Bolivia, Filip Polc once again showed off his superior bike handling skills in Bulgaria with victory at Red Bull’s Ride the Palace event at Sofia’s National Palace of Culture this past Sunday.

The Slovak needed only 1 minute and 12 seconds to run through the course which saw riders start from the roof of the National Palace of Culture and then travel down through seven floors of the iconic Communist era building. Riders finshed their runs just outside of the building around the marble tiles that surround the venue.

After navigating the roof ramp at the start of the run, the riders had to deal with stunning drops, narrow walkways, speeding straights as well as fast turns on tiny stairways and old-fashioned escalators.

Filip was just one of 60 riders from six countries that took part in Red Bull Ride the Palace. He and his fellow riders entertained a crowd of thousands that had turned up to enjoy the spectacle of bikers riding through the Palace of Culture.

Polc's winning time was almost a whole second ahead of another Slovak, Lukas Ucen. Third position was claimed by Slovenian Miha Halzer.
