The 2013 BMX Supercross World Cup kicks off this coming Friday with the first round taking place in Manchester, England.
The World Cup event will be the first global event to be hosted at the purpose-built indoor BMX arena in Manchester since the new facility opened in 2011.
Competition spans over two days (19–20 April) with the time trial superfinals taking place on Friday evening and the racing finals on Saturday evening.
There will be over 200 of the world's best riders racing at Manchester with 26 countries sending teams to Manchester.
In the elite women’s competition, Red Bull’s Shanaze Reade will of course be gunning for victory on home ground and on a track that she regularly practices on.
