If you don't want to know the results from the downhill race of the year, then don't look below...

Gee Atherton and Manon Carpenter were crowned the 2014 UCI Downhill World Champions in Hafjell and will have the honour of wearing the rainbow-stripes jersey at races throughout 2015. The men's race was full of drama, right to the very last man down the hill. Josh Bryceland seemingly looked to be on pace to beat Atherton's fastest time but made a mistake on the final jump, with the finish line in sight. Earlier Neko Mullaly had put in an amazing run to lead the standings after breaking his chain at the top of the course.

In the women's event, Manon Carpenter got the better of Rachel Atherton to take the gold medal, while another British rider Tahnee Seagrave took the bronze medal to make it a British 1-2-3 on top of the podium.
