Rob Warner rides again

Join World Cup commentator Rob Warner as he gets back on his downhill bike and races again.

There was a time before the mic; a time before the script meetings, note-taking and fact-checking. Rob Warner's previous life as a top-flight downhill mountain bike racer saw him travel the world and do battle on some of its most intimidating and legendary race tracks. Now, in 2015, nearly a decade into retirement, he has decided to dust off his old bike and take to the track once more.
Well, actually, he got himself a new factory-spec Giant Glory Advanced 27.5 0, but you get the idea.
Did he still have it? Were his cat-like racer's senses still as sharp?Find out in the video above. (It wouldn't be Rob Warner without expletives, so expect a few to pop up along this rocky road.)

With his old mechanic, Dave Garland, signed up and on hand to offer words of encouragement, Warner headed for the final national-level British Downhill Series race of the year in Antur Stiniog, Wales. Many of his old foes were waiting for him, along with a rather spine-chilling sporting bet with his legendary partner in crime, Lee Bertram.
