Red Bull King of the Air finals will once again launch from Kite Beach, Bloubergstrand as the world's best riders compete for the ultimate title in Big Air.

Red Bull King of the Air returns to Kite Beach, Bloubergstrand for 2026, where the finalists will battle for this year's crown. Set against Cape Town’s iconic coastline, the event brings together the world’s best Big Air kitesurfers for the biggest test of skill, progression and commitment in the sport.
Table Mountain provides the backdrop as Cape Town’s famous summer winds power a battle for the King of the Air crown. Height, technical difficulty, style and execution all come into play as athletes push the limits of what’s possible. Riders earning their place through the Taiwan Qualifier will join the world’s best Big Air athletes for the 2026 Finals in South Africa.

When will the 2026 Red Bull King of the Air Finals take place?

The2026 Finals will run within a waiting window of November 21 – December 6. Event organisers will select competition days when Cape Town’s wind and swell conditions are at their best. In 2025, three days of world-class action delivered a memorable final, and the 2026 edition will once again bring the biggest names in the sport to South Africa.
