It’s been a year since Grand Theft Auto V touched down on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, and now the huge open world sandbox game is back once again in high–resolution glory on your Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Aside from a gorgeous visual upgrade and plenty of new tracks on the radio, one of the biggest additions is a brilliant first–person mode which lets you experience Los Santos all over again from a totally different point of view. Take a ride with us as we show you all the hottest and wildest stunts you can pull off in the next–gen edition of the game, as seen through the eyes of Michael, Franklin and Trevor.
Mountain biking down the side of a building, because why not.
We’ve seen plenty of crazy bike stunts in GTA V before, but nothing comes close to this clip in which playerNero_ backflips off the side of a building before riding down the side of it and dialing down a 360 right at the end – all in first–person for added virtual vertigo. This’ll make Danny MacAskill jealous for sure.
How far can you fly?
Launching GTA V’s fastest cars far off into the skies has been one of the funnest things to do in the game, but it instantly gets a lot harder – and a lot more satisfying – from the first–person. You can’t quite see where you’re going to end up, and you don’t have the same level of control over your vehicle, making for even more exciting airborne adventures, or more fiery infernos at any rate. Take a look at Hiddenriot97’s video above and see if you can launch your most expensive motor in the same way.
Recreate Red Bull Rampage
Andreu Lacondeguy rode to Red Bull Rampage glory back in September, but clearly, the side of Mount Chiliad is a harder task, especially in first–person. Grab your best bike, don your helmet and hitch up to the top: as the video above shows, you’re in for one heck of a challenge.
Jet about
We’ve seen players take the game’s fastest jets through the tightest gaps in the game before but things get even more tense when you’re watching in first–person. Take a look as Game Eater squeezes his way through some of the teeniest gaps and under the shortest bridges, all from the cockpit view in a fighter jet – this will have you on the edge of your seat for sure.
Proximity flying
The Soul Flyers make wingsuit flying look incredibly easy – even when inverted – and if you’ve donned a flying suit in GTA V before you’ll know it’s not quite a walk in the park. The difficulty ramps up when you switch to the first–person, but to make things even harder, why not try a spot of proximity flying across the hills of Los Santos? Check in with vision1234567891’s video above, and see if you can avoid the sick bucket.
