Infiniti Red Bull Racing have confirmed Daniel Ricciardo will drive for the team in 2014 and his first official duty is to drive the show car in the Colombo Night Race in Sri Lanka.

The 24 year old – currently with Scuderia Toro Rosso – will replace his compatriot Mark Webber, who is retiring from Formula One at the end of this season.

Daniel Ricciardo was signed to the Red Bull Junior Team in 2008 with Red Bull supporting his career through the junior categories.

After success in the Renault World Series and testing for Red Bull Racing, he made his Formula One debut with Hispania Racing Team at Silverstone in 2011 before signing for Scuderia Toro Rosso for the 2012 season, scoring points in his maiden Australian Grand Prix.

This year Ricciardo took things up a gear, scoring a career best seventh in China and putting in some giant-killing qualifying performances.

Ricciardo will partner three-time World Champion Sebastian Vettel at the team.
