Sepang is widely regarded as one of the best circuits in the world. Built in just 14 months in time to stage its first Formula One Grand Prix in April 1999, Sepang is now a home from home for MotoGP and is used regularly for testing. Designed by Hermann Tilke to encourage fast, exciting racing, the wide track favours overtaking manoeuvres and plenty of full throttle action. Throw in one of the longest laps in MotoGP, two long straights and intense heat and humidity and you have a recipe for a thriller.
