Davy Pootjes has spent virtually his whole life shredding motocross trails. He began racing at the age of four. Davy’s father soon saw his potential and took him from his homeland of the Netherlands to Belgium, where he hired a coach to nurture his talent.
It wasn’t always an easy ride, and it took Davy some time to find his form. But in 2004, after two years of riding and learning, he won his first Dutch title in the 50cc class, and it was just the start of a long period of success for the Dutchman.
More than a decade later and Davy has numerous accolades to his name, including becoming the Dutch KNMV 50cc champion (2005), scoring first place in Supercross Orlando (2006), a European Champion title at 65cc (2008), securing two first place finishes in the Dutch and European Supercross Championchip 85cc Big Wheels championships (2011 and 2012, respectively ), and first place in the Dutch Open Championchip 125cc (2014).
Right now he's competing in the FIM MX2 World Championship and he's out to add to his impressive list of achievements.Read more
