The Red Bull X-Fighters stop at Spain’s biggest bullring is an undisputed highlight of the season. Plaza de Toros de Las Ventas has been a fixture on the FMX calendar each year since the X-Fighters first arrived in 2002. Ahead of this latest visit to the Spanish capital the track has been redesigned with 500 cubic metres of dirt piled high on a scaffold in the centre of the arena. Watch Ronnie Renner pick out the racing line between all nine jumps in the video above.

All 12 of the world’s best freestyle motocross riders coming to Madrid have a realistic shot at glory and there’s every chance history will be made on Friday night. Frenchman Tom Pagès is going for a third straight win in Madrid while Australia’s Clinton Moore is looking to extend his 100 percent start to this season after wins in Mexico City and Athens. Meanwhile, local hero Dany Torres has reached at least the quarter-finals of Red Bull X-Fighters World Tour events a staggering 21 straight times.

Join us for live coverage of the final stages of the most celebrated event in FMX from 10.30pm CEST (8.30pm UTC) on Friday, July 10.

Viewers in the US will be able to watch the action exclusively on Fox Sports 1 at 9.00am ET on July 19.
