Red Bull Sound Select: 120 Hours In Austin

Noise reigned when a diverse line-up of music-makers hit SXSW in Texas, for a five-night run.

Over the course of five very special nights at the SXSW festival, Red Bull's Sound Select showed them how it was done with 120 Hours In Austin.

The kick-off event for a huge year of Red Bull Sound Select-curated live music saw the stage at Gatsby’s on 708 E. 6th Street filled with showcases from all styles and genres.

From rap to shoegaze to rock to old school hip-hop, the likes of Best Coast, Big Black Delta, Hands, John McCauley and Friends, Jonny Fritz, Those Darlins, Master P, The Cool Kids, LEP Bogus Boys and Spenzo, Chance The Rapper, Ultramagnetic MCs, Geto Boys, Little Barrie, The Sword and Girl In A Coma added to a brilliantly diverse line-up.

Joining the shindig were Beach Party, The Black Cadillacs, Show You Suck, Heliotropes and The Sour Notes, who were all voted in as fan-selected support acts.

And topping the whole thing off was an astonishing set by the brilliant Smashing Pumpkins.
