Hi, my name is Ryan Decenzo. My discipline is street skating. My friends call me Donecenzo. I was born on 20 July 1986 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. My special talent is snowboarding but I also like surfing and parties. My philosophy of life is you could die tomorrow. The most important person in my life is my big little brother Scooter. My favourite food is Italian and Thai. My favourite music is Dr Dre, Snoop, Led Zeppelin, The Doors, Rolling Stones.

Ryan Decenzo doesn’t have time to take it easy. Since turning pro back in January 2010, he hasn’t once taken a break. The Canadian ripper from Vancouver, British Columbia, spent his early days watching in awe as pro skaters like Mike Hastie and McCrank tore up Ladner Skatepark. Eager to follow in their footsteps, Ryan practiced hard, honing his skills and crafting his own style.

Ryan’s big break came when he won the most prestigious amateur skate contest in the world, the Tampa Am. Even taking part in the competition is classed as being a solid start towards a professional career, but winning it is the golden ticket! From then on, the floodgates opened, as Ryan quickly achieved impressive results at some of the most exalted events in the world. He took bronze at the 2010 Street competition, followed by an astonishing run at the 2011 X Games – a gold medal in Game of Sk8, silver in Real Street and 5th in Street. His skill on rails is his secret weapon and always pulls it out of the bag when it matters most. A great example – the nollie back noseblunt that won him Best Trick at the Dew Tour contest.

In addition to winning medals, Ryan has also starred in a number of skate films and videos, including Transworld’s ‘Hallelujah’. Filming video parts has been one of Ryan’s main passions since turning pro and therefore makes time to go shooting whenever he can.
