Photostory: Cuban Fidelity

Patrik Wallner takes us back to Havana with this gallery of daily life in Cuba.

To accompany our “Cuban Fidelity” video feature, Patrik Wallner put together a gallery with some of his favourite shots from the trip to the Caribbean Island with skateboarders Michael Mackrodt and Walker Ryan. Time does indeed appear to stand still in Cuba, especially in these classic film photographs by Wallner. So it’s instant time travel, coming right up.

Even after three weeks in Cuba, you can't get tired of the old cars. There’s so much back space, you can easily fit four people in there.

Life is simple in Cuba: if you don't have a television set, your front door might just do the trick.

You won't find Coca Cola or McDonald's in Cuba, but a McRico is a substitute if you get the munchies for some pizza-like burgers.

Michael Mackrodt likes to grab his board. He is so quick footed that his boards would love to escape but his tight grip just doesn't allow for it.
